Eilir Pierce (director of Welsh arts programme "Y Sioe Gelf") contacted me after reading the article requesting an interview with Toru and I talking about our experience of making a Japanese Samurai film in Wales. It was quite an experience seeing clips of my film shown alongside scenes from Kill Bill and The Last Samurai, overwhelmed by the response the film was getting I stuttered and stammered my way through the interview searching for that right balance between pretension and confidence - deep down I was quaking in my boots. The interview is still available online in paraphrased text form HERE. |
